How to use one
Clean, dry skin, nothing underneath it. Peel, center it over the spot, press the edges down so they seal. Leave it six hours, or overnight.
Don’t do this: don’t put it on over serum, moisturizer or a wet spot. Hydrocolloid sticks to skin, not to product, and that’s the single reason a patch lifts off at two in the morning.

Collar spots sorted
Massive relief for my collar line! I get spots right where the collar sits and normally I cant leave them alone. One went on, I forgot about it, and by the next day it had flattened. It didnt even peel under a jumper!

honestly the patch dwarfs most of my spots, which sounds like a waste until you realise the sticky part is landing on clear skin the whole way round. that's why it holds so well. haven't had one come off yet!

On pale skin the patch reads slightly whiter than the surrounding area in daylight, so it's not invisible, more like a smudge of dry skin. From a normal talking distance nobody clocked it. Four stars rather than five because of that faint edge.

ten hours before it lifts
If youre going to wear one through the day, put it on clean dry skin and dont touch it after. Mine hold about ten hours before the edge starts to lift, which is more than enough for a work day. When it does lift its usually because Ive been in and out of the heat. A quick press with a finger buys another hour or two and thats fine by me.

Fiddly if you only have one hand free. The patch is so thin that it wants to curl back onto the tab, and twice I ended up binning one because it stuck to itself. Fine with two hands, awkward with one

Is a patch as good as a spot treatment?
They aren’t the same job. A sulfur or benzoyl peroxide treatment works chemically and dries the skin around the spot. A patch seals it, draws the fluid out, and stops you touching it for eight hours.
If your spot has come to a head the patch does more overnight. If it’s a deep bump with nothing to draw, a treatment does more.
Which shape do I need?
Cloud if you get one spot at a time. Moon if you break out in an area rather than a point.
Can I wear makeup with it?
Yes, but patch last. Do your makeup, lift it off the spot with a cotton bud, press the patch onto that.
Will it work on any spot?
It pulls fluid out of a whitehead that has come to a head. On a deep bump there’s nothing to draw yet.
