Two things do the work: a vegan hydrocolloid that draws fluid out, and three Centella actives that calm the skin around the spot.
Hydrocolloid
Hydrocolloid is a wound care material that has been used in modern medicine since the 1980s for its ability to create an ideal healing environment for skin. Hydrocolloid spot patches became popular in Korea in the 2010s, when it turned out the same technology works particularly well on inflamed spots.
It absorbs excess fluid out of the spot while shielding the skin from bacteria and from you picking at it.
Centella
The inner cloud is enriched with three bioactive compounds from Centella asiatica: Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid and Madecassoside.
These are calming ingredients. They help settle an inflamed spot, reduce redness, and support the skin's own recovery.

If your skin is sensitive
Hydrocolloid itself is inert, which is why it’s used on wounds. The Centella actives are among the gentler ingredients in skincare. If you react to adhesives, patch test on your inner arm first.
If you’re being treated for acne by a doctor, check with them before layering anything new over prescription treatments.
